I seek to follow Jesus’s principles of love and compassion and to glorify God through everything I do and make. My life’s mission is to work towards a world where cruelty towards animals becomes a thing of the past.
I have a wide-ranging background from being an activist to founding a mission-driven hospitality company which supports the arts to being an artist myself. In 2023, I came to faith and it has profoundly influenced my journey and life purpose.
My MISSION
Advocate and filmmaker KAT LO has always been committed to
the pursuit of idealistic, spiritual principles through the arts and
activism. She has a BA in anthropology from Yale and an MFA in
Film Production from USC. With the support of her father, she
founded a mission-driven hospitality brand called Eaton Workshop
in 2014, where she produced the documentary ATENCIÓN!
MURDERER NEXT DOOR (2021), which premiered on NYT Op-
Docs and won a 2021 Emmy for Outstanding Feature Story. TIME
listed Eaton DC as one of the World’s Greatest Places in 2019,
Eaton Workshop was one of Fast Company’s most innovative
companies in 2019, and Kat was named one of Newsweek’s
Creative Class Innovators in 2019. In 2025, Kat gave a talk at
TEDxMountRubidoux on how to find your way home in a lost
world. The documentary feature MIES AND ME is her directorial
debut. She wrote and produced her first song about grief and loss.
She is an active member of Vintage Church Santa Monica and
was baptized in 2024 by The Vine Church Hong Kong. Her life’s
mission is to work towards a world where cruelty towards animals
no longer exists.
